Fou Fou Le Blanc

The next morning I'm in up and at 'em mode but Bodie wants to play. He's doing his little prancy dance with his squeaky toy in his mouth and how am I going to resist that? The room is plenty big enough to throw the toy and he skids delightedly around the tile floor, ricocheting off the bed and then rising off the ground as we engage in a tug of war – and before I know it we're breathlessly behind schedule.

It actually feels good. Even though I've been freelancing for years, I've always been breathing down my own neck, enforcing deadlines and feeling guilty when I'm not at the peak of productiveness. To do something purely for fun feels liberating.
